Toxin is the matriarch of Skyline Border Collies. From the day we brought her home, our lives have been enriched and brightened by her presence. She is a happy, spunky, and loving dog. There is never a dull moment when she is around. She is highly food and toy motivated, and she'll try anything that is asked of her. She is truly a versatile dog - there's little that she can't do. From agility, dock diving, lure coursing, disc, to conformation ring, she has done everything she has ever tried with heart.
Toxin is the dog that essentially started the dream behind team smooth coat. I wanted to try my hand at the conformation ring, and Toxin was the dog I had at the time that I could show. Showing her made me realize just how hard it was to show smooth coats in conformation, and she was the inspiration behind the mission to level the playing field for the coat variety in the ring.
She loves all people and really does not know a stranger. She will come running to any new person, tail wagging, ready to give a classic border collie hug. She is the kind of dog that will literally try anything in her power to get as close as you as possible - including climbing you like a jungle gym just to give you kisses.
While we didn't pursue herding as much as we wanted to, she had a nice amount of instinct and exhibited lots of power on stock.
While Toxin has founded a wonderful line of border collies for us, and these days she can be found hanging out on the couch with her favorite toy or swimming in the creek in our yard. Occasionally we will still show in altered conformation, dock dive and trial in NADAC agility.
