Risk was not a planned addition at the time - but I couldn't resist. I was on the hunt for another service dog prospect and he just kind of landed in my lap. He is the sweetest dog. He wants nothing more than to be touched. He is the true epitome of a velcro dog, and he has far surpassed my expectations as far as a service dog.
Risk's first job is as my service dog. He has exhibited a natural seizure alert since he was really young. He is also trained to help with my POTS episodes as well as my anxiety. He has seamlessly traveled cross country with me many times. He has also had numerous hospital stays and ER visits with me over the years. He has been my lifeline and has saved my life many times.
Risk is a very handler oriented dog. While he likes toys, his favorite thing to work for is food. He is truly a golden retriever type border collie - everyone is his friend instantly and he knows no stranger. He is the most gentle and patient dog. In typical male border collie fashion, he is goofy, lovable and cuddly - and there's not a moment that goes by that his antics don't make me laugh.
Risk loves agility. I'm looking forward to our future in both the NADAC and AKC rings. We also have some serious conformation goals that I am excited to start chipping away at. He's already far surpassed my expectations in conformation - he finished his AKC championship with ease and is on his way to becoming a Grand Champion already.
